The primary focus for Grae is the realisation that true creative direction meets the client’s needs by spanning design and functionality. Grae believes creative functionality is as important as creative design in new media production; that the creative process isn’t completed in Photoshop - it’s complete once the design and its functionality are fully integrated. To this end, Granite New Media was started by Grae in August 2002. Grae is also a medium format photographer and photographic post producer. These additional skills allow Granite New Media to provide clients with unique and tailor made photographic solutions for their productions. Grae’s work can be viewed in the photography section of the Granite New Media site. Grae creates his designs in Photoshop CS, ImageReady CS, Illustrator CS, Flash MX, and 3DSMax. He integrates the designs and creates their functionality using XHTML 1.1, CSS 2.0, Javascript, Actionscript, Adobe Acrobat, and HTML 4.01 on the client side, and PHP, ASP and MySQL on the server side.
